A view out to sea from Kilchoman beach on the west coast of Islay. Heavy dark clouds are hanging low over Machir Bay, threatening to bring rain with them.

A sunny November morning (although there are some clouds on the horizon) on the west coast of Islay. Stepping out from the track through the dunes the beach opens up to the south, giving us a beautiful view.

The southern end of Kilchoman beach is always an interesting place to explore, with the sand moving all the time. Small gaps and ‘paths’ between the rocks invite us to discover various hidden places.
