A November morning scene from Kilchoman beach from the west coast of Islay. Some rocks are almost buried in the ever shifting sands of the beach, on other days they will be completely buried or much more exposed, depending on the moods of nature.

Glimpse of a sunset over Machir Bay, Isle of Islay

A cloudy November afternoon on the west coast of Islay. After an earlier sunny afternoon I had hoped for a nice sunset, but when I arrived at Kilchoman beach it had clouded over, in particular towards the horizon. Still, I managed to catch a brief glimpse on the setting Sun at the horizon over Machir Bay, briefly colouring the clouds red before it disappeared. Some nice waves were breaking close to the beach, throwing spray high into the air.
