A scene from the southern end of Machir Bay, after rain over night a burn running down from the hills is flowing into the sea. While not as strong as in some other places on Islay you can detect a peaty brown hue in the water, as some of the peat is washed down from the hills.
A view south west from near the military cemetery at Kilchoman. On the left the crags with the old radar station in the distance. Below the dunes and machair at Machir Bay with the bay just visible behind.
