Approaching Machir Bay on a beautiful sunny Islay morning. During spring and summer Corncrakes can often be heard in the reeds below.

This might look like a high steep cliff at a first quick glance, in reality it was only an inch or so high. Sand had broken off where water was running over the ever changing beach in Machir Bay on the west coast of Islay.
