Out in the waves in Machir Bay rolling out on to Kilchoman beach on the west coast of Islay. A few walkers out on their way south on the beach on the left.
A view taken while standing in the waves in Machir Bay as they roll out on Kilchoman beach. In front of us the rocks at Carraig Chomain, my sister Imke standing behind them to the right. We were on our way back after I had gone for a careful swim, as I was still in the wetsuit I decided to walk back in the shallow water and take a few pictures from a different perspective.
Watched from Port Askaig pier, the ketch Fleur de Lampaul and a modern sailing yacht passing the small Jura lighthouse Carragh an t-Sruith on the Sound of Islay
