One of my favourite walks on Islay: From Saligo Bay past the Opera House Rocks and on to Tráigh Bhàn, sometimes even further. Beautiful landscape with nice beaches and impressive cliffs.
No, that’s not their real name. But to many people on Islay and elsewhere they are known as the “Opera House Rocks”, as they with a bit of imagination remind of the famous opera house in Sydney, Australia. Most people will know their silhouette looking north from Saligo Bay, here’s a closer look from a walk up the coast north of Saligo.
