Red phone box in Keills, Isle of Islay

Picture of a red phone box on a road side surrounded by various thingsPossibly the most difficult one to take a picture of during my red phone boxes on Islay documentation project, the one in Keills. Unfortunately it is surrounded by rather unsightly recycling containers and other things, so finding a nice angle was a challenge. This was the best I could manage, including a view towards the hills in the east of Islay.

Picture of a red phone box next to a rural single track roadA view of one of Islay’s remaining red phone boxes, this one is on the High Road (B8016) between Port Ellen and Bridgend (the view in this picture is towards Port Ellen). The phone box is near the entrace to Glenegedalemoor Lots, not far from the road to Glenegedale and the airport.
