At the end of a great walk to the old radar station at Kilchiaran I stopped at the old wreck of the Patti (an early steamship wrecked in the 1840s). The low November afternoon sun provided some beautiful mild golden light, reflecting on the wet sand and water.

Returning from a great walk up to the old Kilchiaran radar station on a stunning November day I enjoyed some beautiful afternoon sun out on Kilchoman beach. Here the view is south along the rocky and rugged shore stretching south along the west coast of the Rhinns of Islay.

Seen from the westernmost of the crags between Machir Bay and Kilchiaran Bay, a view over the sandy expanse of Kilchoman beach with the dunes behind it, both below the rocky crags. On the horizon also Saligo and Sanaigmore.
