After the view south west now the view north west in Saligo Bay, taken on the same April 2016 evening. As mentioned earlier, the winter storms which hit Islay from the Atlantic had washed away a lot of the sand and exposed many more rocks and stones than previously visible.

A view of what was left of the beach in Saligo Bay in April 2016, looking south west. The strong storms which hit Islay during the 2015/2016 winter had washed away most of the sand, exposing the rocks and the pebbles previously covered by the sand.
