My sister Imke on the west coast of Islay during a visit in June 2013. We walked north from Saligo mainly following the coast. Here we took a break on the hills just behind Smaull, enjoying the views over Saligo and Kilchoman.
A sunny June afternoon at Saligo Bay, but clouds are moving in from the west. The view is south along the beach, some rocks mixed in. Small waves lapping up the beach.
Not sure what this type of rock formations is called, but they can found just south of Saligo Bay on the west coast of Islay. Saligo Bay in the distance in the centre of the picture, the Paps of Jura to the right in the distance.
