Watched from the “old” hide (south hide) at Gruinart, one of the summer visitors to Islay preening its feathers before flying on to catch insects.
Not the clearest shot, but I was glad to have captured it in the first place: A Swallow emerging from the water after a low pass and briefly dipping into the water (I guess trying to catch an insect on the water).
Spotted from the old/south RSPB hide at Gruinart, a Swallow is flying low over the water just outside the hide, hunting for insects.
