The steep cliffs on the Oa are probably the most impressive cliffs on Islay, high and steep. We visited them during the Islay walking week in April 2017 for views and wildlife (a Golden Eagle was spotted earlier during this walk)
Seen from the incoming Islay evening ferry arriving in Port Ellen, some very dark clouds moving in over the Oa. Carraig Fhada lighthouse left of centre, Kilnaughton Bay towards the right.
A beach scene on the Big Strand in Laggan Bay. A log washed up on the beach, I used it as a marker to find the spot where I had come through the dunes on my way to the beach. The Mull of Oa in the distance.
