A memory from an Islay walking week walk past Killinallan Point along the beach, Tràigh Baile Aonghais, to Gortantaoid Point. Here we enjoyed a lunch in the April sunshine with a beautiful view along the beach and over to Ardnave.

A memory from the Islay walking week in 2012, the walkers on Traigh Baile Aonghais on the way to Gortantaoid. Mala Bholsa visible in the distance on the left, also one of the Paps of Jura on the right.
A different view of Loch Gruinart at Ardnave, not from the top of the dunes, not from the beach either, but from somewhere half way, from a gap in the dunes. It’s low tide in the loch with sandbanks visible almost all the way. Killinallan Point visible across the loch, also the tops of the Paps of Jura on the horizon.
