I’m not sure where exactly this is, except that it is somewhere between Gruinart and Ardnave. This was during a walk at the Islay walking week a few years back, we walked from Gruinart to Ardnave over the hills and returned along Loch Gruinart. The hills in the distance are near Sanaigmore.

Granny’s Rock above Machir Bay, Isle of Islay

A view over Machir Bay from the Bealach na Caillich, the southern end of the Kilchoman Crags on the right. If you look carefully you can see Granny’s Rock, the silhouette of a face, at the very top.

On the track from Dunlossit to the Sound of Islay

A fairly old picture from an Islay walking week many years ago, I think 2004 or so. We walked from Dunlossit via Dun Bhoraraic to the Sound of Islay and out to An Cladach.
