A view from a beautiful sunny April 2014 afternoon in Saligo Bay on the west coast of Islay. Waves kept rolling in and breaking in wonderful mild sunshine.
I’m not sure from where exactly I took this picture, but it’s north of Portnahaven, somewhere in the Claddach area. Probably somewhere close to the wave power station. The rocks out in the sea are Frenchman’s Rocks. A hazy sunset approaching in April 2005.
This might look like a high steep cliff at a first quick glance, in reality it was only an inch or so high. Sand had broken off where water was running over the ever changing beach in Machir Bay on the west coast of Islay.
