Many of the lochs on Islay have a Crannog, this is the one in Loch Laingeadail south west of Ardnave.

A colourful spring view from Islay a few years ago, gorse in bloom on the hillside below the Campbell monument near Bridgend. It has since been thinned out, but there’s still a lot of it around on Islay.

Probably not a sight many people expect on Islay. But there are a few Llamas on Islay. These live on a field right above Loch Indaal, on the road from Port Charlotte to Portnahaven, not far from Port Charlotte.
