  1. My greatgrand father Ronald Mackinnon was born in 1841 in Cnoc a Cleibh,just out off shot on the left of the Photo. He died in Fauldhouse,West Lothian in 1941.

The Rhinns of Islay lighthouse on Orsay right of centre, some of the houses at Claddach in the foreground. In the distance towards the left some of the houses at Portnahaven/Port Wemyss (the square building is a former Coastguard lookout tower, now a holiday cottage).
