No, I have no idea what this is, but I think it looks quite nice. I took this picture with my smartphone on a rainy November evening on Islay, just outside Bruichladdich distillery (that’s Bruichladdich pier in the background).
There were the lights on the pier, then there would have been light behind me. My suspicion is more that there was some kind of smudge, either water or dirt, on the lens which caused this.
There won’t be a real explanation anyway. While I have a suspicion I don’t really care either, I just thought it looked nice when I came across the picture. I didn’t even know I had it (it’s obviously from last year, as I haven’t been over this November), only came across it by chance a few days ago.

It MIGHT be explained by how much Bruichladdich the photographer had in him!!
