A June evening at the northern end of Lossit Bay on the west coast of Islay. Clouds had moved in after a sunny afternoon, only some hazy sunshine remained. Some light Atlantic swell was rolling in while Lossit Burn was flowing into the sea.
A fairly common bird, but it was posing quite nicely for me. A Sparrow on a wall, I think at Kilchoman or at least somewhere in the Kilchoman area. It had just caught some insect (not sure what it was) and was still holding it in its beak.
Does this count as synchronized preening? Three Gulls sitting on rocks overlooking Loch Indaal from the Rhinns of Islay are preening the same area of their bodies.
