MV James (temporary Jura ferry) in Port Askaig, Isle of Islay

While the regular Jura ferry was away for repairs/ maintenance in April 2023 the MV James took over to ferry vehicles and passengers across the Sound of Islay. Here she is at the pier in Port Askaig.

A view north from the rocks at the southern end of Kilchoman beach on the west coast of Islay. Some clouds still hanging over the dunes on the right, but it cleared up for some brilliant sunny days in April 2023.
