Gigha beach and a view of Cara Island

A view from the beach at Port na Carraigh at the southern end of Islay’s neighbour Gigha. I don’t know if the burn running across the beach has a name (nothing on the OS map). Lots of stones, rocks and even boulders around, as well as seaweed and more. In the distance you can also spot Cara Island.

Spotted in April 2023, I don’t know if they’re still there now. Two boulders fallen on the track between Kilchoman and Kilchiaran, just below Bealach na Caillich. As you can see they didn’t block the track, someone just drove around them. Still, I wouldn’t want to have been in their path when they came down.

A cloudy April evening on Islay, out on the beach in Saligo Bay. The sand has been smoothed out by the outgoing tide, from the sand some rugged sharp rocks rise up. Above it the interestingly textured clouds.
