Not sure where exactly, but I spotted these Sea Pinks on a walk along the shore north of Kilchoman beach, out towards Coul Point

I would be cheating if I were to claim that this is the approaching Heron landing at Gruinart. This picture was actually taken earlier during an afternoon in the RSPB hide. Not sure if this is the same bird moving around or a different bird.

A quite frequent sight at Gruinart, seen from the RSPB bird hide in June 2025: A low flying Heron approaching over the wetlands, landing shortly after.
