Looking south along the west coast from Kilchoman beach on a beautiful November morning on Islay. A large cloud is hanging low over the hills around Kilchiaran and Tormisdale while waves are rolling into Machir Bay and on to the beach.
A view from a November morning walk on Kilchoman beach. Looking up I noticed the dune grass at the top edge of the Kilchoman dunes was nicely lit up from behind by the low morning sun just starting to come over the crags.
Unfortunately the only view you can get of this magnificent Celtic cross at the moment, looking up from the road to Kilchoman cottages. The area around Kilchoman church is closed for public access as of writing this due to dangers of the church ruin walls collapsing.
