A slightly hidden gem on Islay, Swan’s pool behind the Ard in Port Ellen. A beautiful sheltered small natural harbour protected by rock formations just off the entrance.

Must admit I don’t know what this Swallow photographed in June 2025 is bringing back and for what exactly. It seems to be some kind of stick, some grass seeds and some mud? Not sure if it was for nest building or to somehow feed the young ones?
