A view from the pier at old and new parts of Bunnahabhain distillery in the north of Islay. On the left the older warehouse with the famous Bunnahabhain lettering, visible from far away. Next to it used to be another warehouse with the word ‘distillery’ on the wall, which was demolished. It has been replaced by a very nice purpose built visitor centre with a balcony and stunning views north over the Sound of Islay.

A mostly cloudy October afternoon on the west coast of Islay, but at times a few sun rays manage to break through. Here we see them behind some rocks embedded in the beach at Saligo Bay.

Seen from the old radar station at Kilchiaran, a busy October day on KIlchoman beach. Usually the beach is mostly empty, I think this is probably some of the busiest I’ve ever seen it.
