The counterpart to the view over Loch Laphroaig with Laphroaig distillery, here the view is from outside the maltings over the distillery and then out to the loch. All still under the amazing bright blue sky on the April 2026 afternoon.
A beautiful sunny April 2026 afternoon on the south coast of Islay. Standing above the shore of Loch Laphroaig we get a great view over the loch in the bright sunshine with the famous Laphroaig distillery with its white buildings along the opposite shore.
The sunset wasn’t the most exciting, but the gloaming after it turned out rather nice. Above the Saligo dunes some dark blue sky, out on the horizon over the Atlantic the distant clouds turned into a dramatic fire of reds and oranges. It didn’t last long, but looked amazing while it lasted.
