A view from just above the Currie Sands, a rugged and rocky shore sloping down to the beach where stones and sand mix at the edge of the sandy beach. Eilean Mhic Coinnich in the middle distance, the Rhinns of Islay just visible in the distance on the left.

Currie Sands is one of the smallest beaches on Islay, but still very popular. While on the west coast it is protected from the Atlantic. There are nice views to the Rhinns of Islay lighthouse from the beach.
