
Same as with the previous picture I’m not sure what these two lapwings were doing at Islay’s RSPB Gruinart reserve. I assume it was some kind of mating ritual, as I took the picture in April 2024.

Forever one of my favourite views on Islay, walking over the top of the dunes at Kilchoman with the view over the beach and Machir Bay opening up in front of me. Be it on a sunny day, be it on a rainy day, be it on a mixed day like here with some clouds but also some blue sky.
