A memory from an Islay walking week walk across Jura, from Gatehouse to Loch Tarbert and back. This view takes in some boulders (with a small reservoir of water below them) towards the western side of Jura, Loch Tarbert just visible in the background.

My late parents (my mother passed away in 2008, my father in 2017) on our last family holiday together on Islay in 2007. This was I think the longest walk during that holiday, I took them from Killinallan gate to Gortaintaoid and then back along the beach around Killinallan Point. This is them going around Killinallan Point on the final stretch of the walk, Loch Gruinart stretching out into the distance on the right.
