April gloaming over Machir Bay and Kilchoman, Isle of Islay

A beautiful April evening on the west coast of Islay. After watching/photographing/filming the sunset it’s always worth staying a bit longer for the gloaming, the beautiful mild last light of the day. Here the view goes out from the top of the high dunes over Kilchoman beach, Coul Point and Machir Bay. If you look closely you can also make out some geese during their roost on the beach.

Somewhere on the Kilchoman road on a June evening on Islay. The view goes out over over the low hills of the Rhinns of Islay between Loch Gorm and Gruinart, the steep cliffs west of Sanaigmore visible in the distance.
