A November afternoon on Islay, the Moon had risen over the hills east of Gruinart. A few birds in the sky, flying past below the Moon.

Having spread over the whole of Machir Bay and Kilchoman beach after about half an hour the beautiful colours faded away, the sun having now fully set. This view shows the northern end of the bay and beach.

The amazing colourful clouds spread all over Machir Bay, reflecting on Kilchoman beach. A truly amazing sight, I hope this panoramic view gives you at least an idea of what I saw, even though it doesn’t come close to actually being there.
