On the way to Proaig on the south east of Islay you have two options to cross Abhainn Proaig: You either ford it at the mouth of the burn close to the sea (if the water levels aren't too high) or you use the ‘girder bridge’ a few hundred feet upstream. Here we see three walkers using the second option during the Islay Walking Week 2006
