Spotted from the northern end of Gigha on a beautiful June evening, the MV Lord of the Isles on her way to Islay with the Paps of Jura as the backdrop (The LotI was the relief ferry while the MV Finlaggan was away for her annual overhaul in June 2023).
Spotted this small murmuration of Starlings in the evening sky while walking out to watch the summer solstice sunset over Islay and Jura from Gigha. So I took a picture of them under the colourful late evening clouds.
A view from near Loch Gorm on the Rhinns of Islay, looking over some gorse bushes towards the distant Paps of Jura (from left to right: Beinn an Oir, Beinn Shiantaidh, Beinn a’ Chaolais)
