On my detour from Evans Walk I climbed up to the summit of Corra Bheinn (573m), from where I had great views over two (the third was hidden from view from here) of the famous Paps of Jura. Beinn Shiantaidh (757m) straight ahead, Beinn an Oir (785m) behind it to the right. The Bay of Small Isles in the distance on the left. The entrance to Loch Tarbert just visible behind Corra Bheinn on the right.

Having walked up from the eastern side of Jura, passing Corra Bheinn and Loch na F├╣darlaich on the way, soon the view west opens up. Evans Walk enters Glen Batrick with Loch Tarbert in the distance, also Colonsay visible across the sea.

A panoramic view over the east coast of Jura from early on during Evans Walk, I’d estimate may be a mile or so from the road. The Bay of Small Isles left of centre, the Paps of Jura with Beinn Shiantaidh closest to us towards the right. Corra Bheinn (which I climbed on a detour from Evans Walk) on the right.
