The start and entry point for the short walk to Kilchoman beach on the west coast of Islay. The small bridge takes us across Allt Gleann na Ceardaich on its way to the Atlantic, the dune path then leads through the Kilchoman dunes to Kilchoman beach and Machir Bay.
Allt Gleann na Ceardaich flowing through a small gate in a small weir at Kilchoman, just above the old water wheel. Taken on a wet and rainy day on Islay with lots of water running down.
Another view of what remains of the old water wheel at Kilchoman, the ruin of Kilchoman church in the background on the right, on the left what is now Kilchoman cottages (I believe they used to be stables).
