A picture courtesy of my sister Imke, as it’s rather difficult to take a picture of yourself when going for a swim. That’s me going for a short wild swim in shallow waters at the southern end of Kilchoman beach in Machir Bay. As there can be dangerous currents in Machir Bay I made sure I stayed close to the shore and was always able to stand. Still had a lot of fun splashing through the waves in the surf coming in from the Atlantic.

On the beach in Saligo Bay, at the southern end where Saligo River flows across the beach into the bay and the Atlantic. Here under some hazy April evening sun, not long before sunset.
