Watched somewhere at Gruinart, some of the thousands of Barnacle Geese wintering on Islay arriving for the evening roost.
Having been spooked Barnacle Geese fly off from their roost on Kilchoman beach in Machir Bay. More usually seen roosting in other places they do occasionally roost on the beach here, especially when the tide is right at full Moon. Also note the two gulls still sitting on the beach, undisturbed by the commotion around them.
