A view south from near the northern end of Glen Batrick on Jura. Glenbatrick River flowing towards us, Beinn Shiantaidh, one of the Paps of Jura in the distance (also Corra Bheinn to the left of it).

Seen from Ardfernal Hill (Cnocan Soilleir, 85m) on the east coast of Jura, a June sunset behind the Paps of Jura (and Corra Bheinn on the right).

On a spur of the moment decision I climbed Corra Bheinn (573m) while my original plan had been to just complete Evans’ Walk to Loch Tarbert (which I still did). It was well worth it. The views of in particular Beinn Shiantaidh (757m) were fantastic on a brilliant June afternoon. In this view I also quite liked the two large boulders which at some point must have come down the hill before coming to rest here.
