Kilchoman and Saligo from Sanaigmore panorama, Isle of Islay

Panoramic picture of a rugged coast with bays and cragsA view on Islay fascinating west coast, looking south from the cliffs at Sanaigmore. The cliffs in the shade in the foreground are Sliabh Bhrothain (72m), to the right of it the cliffs known as Sleeping Giant to some and Opera House Rocks to others (unusual to see it from the back). Behind it, mostly hidden, is Saligo Bay. Next the hills at Coull Farm, Cnoc Mòr (82m, left) and Carn Mòr (56m, right). Behind it is Machir Bay. In the distance Kilchoman with the Kilchoman Crags, leading on to the shoreline past Kilchiaran.

The odd one out, Isle of Islay

Picture of a single dark bird (probably a raptor) among a flock of gullInitially it looks just like a flock of gulls flying off, but if you look closely you’ll spot the one dark bird (I think possibly a raptor of some sort, unfortunately I can’t remember) just right of centre.
