April gloaming over Machir Bay and Kilchoman, Isle of Islay

A beautiful April evening on the west coast of Islay. After watching/photographing/filming the sunset it’s always worth staying a bit longer for the gloaming, the beautiful mild last light of the day. Here the view goes out from the top of the high dunes over Kilchoman beach, Coul Point and Machir Bay. If you look closely you can also make out some geese during their roost on the beach.

I’m not sure if this is the place as the one in the Wild goats at Machir Bay picture, but even if it isn’t it’s very close to it. A herd of wild goats on a small hillock at the southern end of Kilchoman beach, Machir Bay visible behind it with Eilean an Tannais-Sgeir just visible in the distance on the right.
