Image

Picture of a lighthouse in the failing evening light with its light flashingGuarding the southern end of the Sound of Islay, McArthur’s Head lighthouse flashing its light in the gloaming of an April evening. Picture of a barge towing a crane in a sound between two islandsA slightly unusual visitor in the Sound of Islay, a barge towing a crane spotted from the Jura ferry. As for some reason they were travelling against the tide their speed over ground was very slow
