One of the places on Islay where you often see people fly fishing is Loch Finlaggan. This one was at the northern end, photographed from the footbridge to Eilean Mòr.

Fly Fishing in Loch Ballygrant, Isle of Islay

While I’m not sure which country these two are from (the man on the oars is from Islay) I do know that I took this picture during the Commonwealth Fly Fishing Championship in June 2009. One of the venues was Loch Ballygrant with the Paps of Jura providing a dramatic background.
