Not entirely sure where exactly I took this picture, I think somewhere in the Gruinart area. Barnacle Geese and sheep grazing in the same field, although they don’t seem to mix, at least here.

Spotted at Gruinart, a male Hen Harrier carrying away its catch. Hen Harriers can be spotted regularly on Islay, but this was one of the few times I’ve seen one during a successful hunt. It all happened very quickly and unfortunately my camera strap got caught on the handbrake lever when I grabbed it after spotting the Hen Harrier, so this is the best picture I managed to get of the event.
