A view from the north eastern end of Kilnaughton beach, where Cornabus burn runs into the bay. Behind it on the left what to my knowledge is an old bathing hut (as of writing this not sure where it got, but I believe there are plans to restore it to its former glory). Port Ellen in the distance on the right.

Wind and storm gusts are quite difficult to photograph, usually you feel and hear them more than you see them. I hope this picture gives at least an idea, if you look closely you can see the ripples from the storm gust in the shallow water left behind by a retreating wave. Picture taken on Kilchoman beach in Machir Bay on the west coast of Islay during a late November 2025 storm.
