A view from the hills in the south of Islay from an Islay walking week walk in April a good number of years ago. Bruichladdich in the distance towards the left on the other side of Loch Indaal, also to the right of Bruichladdich is Conisby higher up on the Rhinns of Islay. On this side of the loch towards the right, below the hill crest is Bowmore (well, parts of it).

A view from somewhere in Bowmore (unfortunately can’t remember where I took this picture) across some house roofs (somebody will probably recognise them and know where exactly they are) and over Loch Indaal to Port Charlotte on the Rhinns of Islay. Taken on a beautiful April afternoon over a decade ago.

A view from near Bowmore across Loch Indaal on a beautiful sunny April morning. The Paps of Jura towering over the old house at Pennycraig (which has since been refurbished/rebuilt, the picture is from 2010) at the shore of the loch.
