A beautiful, fairly clear November night on Islay. The night sky above Laphroaig on the south coast of Islay shows hundreds of stars sparkling above the distillery. A beautiful view with a hint of the Milky Way just left of centre.

After trying to get a decent picture with the very bright lights illuminating the “Laphroaig” lettering on the warehouse for a while midnight arrived. And suddenly it was quite a bit darker. Because at midnight the lights are switched off (all other lights remain on though). So here’s another view of the beautiful night sky on the south coast of Islay. Oh, and there might just be a glimpse of a Leonid meteor towards the top right.

The bright lights illuminating the “Laphroaig” lettering on the warehouse proved to be quite a challenge when taking this picture during a clear break on a November night on Islay. This is one of the better pictures I managed to capture of the starry night sky above Laphroaig distillery on the south coast of Islay.
