A slightly different view of the wreck of the Patti on Kilchoman beach, here with the waves washing over it seen from in the water. The crags with the old radar station at Kilchiaran in the background.

A picture courtesy of my sister Imke, as it’s rather difficult to take a picture of yourself when going for a swim. That’s me going for a short wild swim in shallow waters at the southern end of Kilchoman beach in Machir Bay. As there can be dangerous currents in Machir Bay I made sure I stayed close to the shore and was always able to stand. Still had a lot of fun splashing through the waves in the surf coming in from the Atlantic.

Another view over Kilchoman beach from the dunes/hills to the north of Machir Bay, here just looking at the beach with the Kilchoman crags in the background. The tiny dots on the beach are people, it was quite busy this sunny June afternoon
