Sanaigmore cliffs panorama, Isle of Islay

Image

Panoramic picture of a view from cliffs over an islandA panoramic view from the top of the cliffs at Sanaigmore, looking back over Islay. On the right the steep cliffs stretching south west. On the left the more gentle coastline towards the north east. Sanaigmore Bay cutting deep into the view, exaggerated by the panoramic distortion. The Paps of Jura can be just made out in the distance on the left.

The Paps of Islay?

Image

Picture of a group of three round shaped hillsI’m not sure about their real name (I think the one in the middle might be Cnoc Mór na Clagain), but when I noticed these three hills during a walk in the south east of Islay I couldn’t help being reminded of their much bigger cousins, the Paps of Jura.
