A scene from the beach at Kilchiaran, looking at the steep hillside with various waterfalls running down. High above a plane flying west, probably on its way to America.

Maybe not the clearest picture, but then it was taken over quite a distance (approx 6 miles) on an overcast hazy day. Seen across Loch Indaal and Laggan Bay from somewhere between Port Charlotte and Nerabus on the Rhinns of Islay, the service plane is leaving from Islay International Airport at Glenegedale for its flight to Glasgow.
Another view from the departing plane taken by my late mother at the end of her last visit to Islay. The view goes along the Big Strand in Laggan Bay out towards the Oa penisula. The North Channel behind it, Ireland somewhere in the far distance under the clouds.
