A view from the top of Loch Indaal on an October evening, a few Barnacle Geese can be seen on the roost in the loch. The lights have come on in Bowmore, Port Charlotte and Bruichladdich as the light fades quickly.
This is what I believe to be my first Islay picture ever, taken in August 1998, having arrived in pouring rain the previous day. The view is out over Loch Indaal with Port Charlotte pier, taken from the Port Charlotte Hotel. Scanned from a print, as this was still with a film camera, two years before I bought my first digital camera. Little did I know back then what would develop from this over the following years…
